About 5 years ago, the most popular Japanese idol group was Morning Musume.
But, their popularity is began to drop off.
Because there is another Japanese idol group called AKB48.

AKB48  have been a high popularity among Akiba people,
who are called Otaku in Japan.
Otaku is like a geek and Akiba otaku is those who hang aroung
in Akihabara, where there are many electronic shops.
